Data and Operations Associate, Central Valley
The Data & Operations Associate will be responsible for tracking, receiving, distributing, and managing Central Valley program inventory, supplies, and equipment. They will also conduct research and gather data to assess program outcomes and assist in program innovation. This individual will utilize, develop, and streamline Climate Careers’ operational systems to successfully fulfill this role.

Director of Policy or Associate Director of Policy
The Director of Policy will build on Rising Sun’s early policy success through the Bay Area’s High Road Training Partnership (HRTP) for Residential Building Decarbonization, including the Partnership’s recommended labor standards for residential building decarbonization programs, which have already influenced over $1B in public funding and the jobs they support. The Director of Policy will continue to lead the Partnership in its next iteration, focusing on continued labor standards advocacy, technical assistance for labor standard implementation, contractor supports, and consideration of new industries.
In addition, the Director of Policy will help to shape Rising Sun’s policy work in the years to come, maintaining a close connection to Rising Sun’s programs and the needs of our participants and graduates.

Our Climate Careers program offers a no-cost service, the Green House Call, to local Bay Area households. Green House Calls consist of an energy and water audit and installations of energy and water-saving devices such as LED Lightbulbs, showerheads, bathroom/kitchen faucet aerators, smart powerstrips, and more. Climate Careers employs youth Energy Specialists, ages 15–24 from low-income households, to perform these audits and installations.

The LIFT position is for emerging climate leaders ages 18-24 from low-income households. Participants will develop leadership skills by providing coaching, mentorship, and training to Energy Specialists and drivers. Youth will participate in regularly occurring professional development workshops, career pathways and make connections. Upon the successful completion of the Green House Call program, they will continue paid employment with Rising Sun through a Fall externship placement program in which they will be placed with a trusted partner organization to gain additional career exposure and build their professional network and resume.

The Operations Coordinator will work with the Data and Operations Associate, Bay Area and the Senior Data and Operations Manager to provide operational support for the 2025 Green House Call program. The Operations Coordinator will assist with temporary site offi ce setup and closing, provide direct operational support during our summer Green House Call program (IT, supplies, forms, etc.), support Climate Careers Bay Area inventory management, help maintain Climate Careers’ digital infrastructure, complete basic data analysis and reporting tasks, and perform other tasks as necessary to ensure Green House Call delivery and quality control.

Outreach Associate, Central Valley
The Outreach Associate (OA) is responsible for supporting the outreach team to generate client leads and book appointments as part of a regional grassroots outreach campaign. This position is a fantastic opportunity for motivated individuals looking to increase their community outreach, marketing, and communication experience while gaining a foothold in the non-profit and sustainability sectors.

Outreach Manager, Central Valley
Rising Sun seeks an Outreach Manager, Central Valley to support the success of the Climate Careers program in the Central Valley (San Joaquin, Stanislaus, Merced, and Madera County). The Outreach Manager, Central Valley reports directly to the Senior Community Engagement Manager and helps supervise a team of temporary and potential full-time staff members. In addition, the Outreach Manager works closely with the Regional Managers and collaboratively with the Climate Careers team to accomplish the goals of the Climate Careers program.

The Program Assistant is responsible for supporting regional management teams across our two programmatic regions. The main goal of the PA is to provide operational and administrative support, recruitment and outreach, Green House Call delivery and quality control.

Regional Manager, Central Valley Region (Merced)
The Regional Manager works in collaboration with all members of the Climate Careers team to accomplish the goals of the Climate Careers program. Collaboration with the team will include regular strategy and deliverable tracking meetings, team-building activities, joint problem-solving sessions, resource sharing and support, and consistent feedback loops.

Senior Community Engagement Manager
Rising Sun seeks a Senior Community Engagement Manager to lead and oversee the success of its Climate Careers community engagement, outreach initiatives and operations in the 9-county Bay Area. The Senior Community Engagement Manager, Bay Area works closely with the Climate Careers team and reports directly to the Bay Area Climate Careers Director. This position will supervise the Bay Area Outreach Manager and Operations Associate.

Site Program Manager (Merced County and Madera County)
The Site Program Manager (SiPM) is responsible for implementing the Climate Careers program in a specifi c county, throughout the Central Valley Region–Merced County (Los Banos) or Madera County (Madera)- while also supporting the overall goals of the program. The SiPM will oversee and supervise 9 youth during the summer. The SiPM will co-manage one site office with a Summer Program Manager during the summer employment.

Site Program Manager (Stockton)
The Site Program Manager (SiPM) is responsible for implementing the Climate Careers program within Stockton while also supporting the overall goals of the program. The SiPM will oversee and supervise nine youth during the summer. The SiPM will co-manage one site office with a Summer Program Manager during the summer employment. The SiPM is expected to transition between different sets of responsibilities throughout the position duration.

The Summer Program Manager (SPM) position implements the Climate Careers program in a specifi c city throughout the greater Bay Area while supporting the overall goals of the Climate Careers program. The SPM will work alongside a co manager to implement and oversee the Green House Call goals, processes, and deliverables. The SPM will supervise 13 youth participants and is jointly responsible for site offi ce administration, client identifi cation/booking, and oversight of service delivery to clients.

Workforce Initiatives Manager, Central Valley Region (Merced)
The Workforce Initiatives Manager will drive program strategy and provide resources and support throughout every stage of a Climate Careers participant’s journey, from summer program and externship participation to alumni engagement. The goal is to elevate the Climate Careers program from merely providing job readiness training and career pathway exposure to creating a pipeline to long-term, sustainable employment within the green economy for our program alumni. Simultaneously, they ensure that new and existing workforce partners, specifically within the green economy, provide opportunities and pathways to employment for Climate Careers participants and alumni.
