The Director of Development and Communication leads the organization’s fundraising, external communications, and marketing initiatives. Climate Careers: Smart Thermostat Specialist (Seasonal)
The Smart Thermostat Specialist position directly installs Smart Thermostats in homes throughout the greater Bay Area, while simultaneously coaching thermostat recipients how to use the device to further lower their heating and cooling energy consumption. Climate Careers: Summer Program Manager (Seasonal)
The Summer Program Manager (Summer PM) position implements the Climate Careers program in a specific county or set of counties, in the greater Bay Area while also supporting the overall goals of the Climate Careers program. This position calls for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and who can balance multiple priorities. A successful candidate will equally enjoy administrative tasks, community engagement, and direct supervision and development of youth.
Climate Careers: Youth Development Specialist (Seasonal)
The Youth Development Specialist (YDS) is responsible for supporting a cohort of 31-33 youth, ages 15-24, in three satellite Climate Careers site offices. The YDS’ goal is to help youth identify and overcome barriers to program participation to support retention and programmatic success. Additionally, the YDS will be responsible for the enrichment of participants through various forms of professional skills development and career planning.
Climate Careers: Site Program Manager (Seasonal)
Rising Sun’s Climate Careers youth program is looking for enthusiastic, mission-driven Site Program Managers to work in twelve locations across the Greater Bay Area. Leading up to our summer program, the Site Program Managers are responsible for community-based outreach to sign residents up for our energy-saving services and recruiting young people for paid summer jobs in a specific county or set of counties. During the summer program, the Site Program Manager transitions to managing youth at a satellite Climate Careers office.
