The Chief Program Officer (CPO) will oversee Rising Sun’s workforce development program portfolio, leading the vision, strategy, design, execution, evaluation, and enhancement of all programs across regions alongside three strong program directors and their teams. The CPO will ensure alignment between programming, strategy, financial resources, and organizational mission, vision, values, and goals. Balancing strategic leadership with hands-on partnership, the CPO will work closely with the CEO, program directors, frontline staff, external partners, program participants, and funders.

Participants will develop leadership skills by providing coaching, mentorship, and training to Energy Specialists and Energy Specialist Drivers. The Operations Coordinator will report to the Data and Operations Associate, Central Valley to provide operational support for the 2026 Green House Call program. The Operations Coordinator will assist with temporary site office setup and closing, provide direct operational support in preparation of and during our summer Green House Call program (IT, supplies, forms, etc.), support inventory management, help maintain Climate Careers’ digital infrastructure, complete basic data analysis and reporting tasks, and perform other tasks as necessary to ensure Green House Call delivery and quality control.
The Summer Outreach Coordinator (SOC) is responsible for supporting the outreach team to generate client leads and book appointments as part of a regional grassroots outreach campaign. This position is a fantastic opportunity for motivated individuals looking to increase their community outreach, marketing, and communication experience. Climate Careers targets populations that include low to moderate-income residents, seniors, renters, and non-native English speakers. Strategies include tabling at events and presentations to community groups.

Workforce Initiatives Manager, Climate Careers Central Valley
The Workforce Initiatives Manager (WIM) will implement Climate Careers’ annual externship program and youth workforce development initiatives for current program participants and program alumni in the Central Valley region. The WIM will drive program strategy and planning to develop a pipeline to long-term, good quality careers within the green economy for program participants and future alumni.
The Youth Development Manager (YDM) is responsible for supporting a cohort of up to 18 youth, ages 15–24, with the goal of helping participants identify and overcome barriers to employment in order to promote full program retention and engagement. The YDM provides programmatic enrichment through professional skills development, career planning, and externship placement, while working closely with and mentoring youth program participants and alumni. This role reports directly to the Workforce Initiatives Manager and requires the ability to transition between different sets of responsibilities throughout the year.
